Russia national team may play in retro kit in November FIFA window in honor of Nikita Simonyan
The Russian Football Union said it will appeal to FIFA for permission for a special retro kit for the Russia national team in the November international window. The kit is planned to be styled after Soviet-era uniforms of the 1950s–1970s for Nikita Simonyan's 100th birthday.
The Russian Football Union said that the Russia national team may take the field in a special retro kit in the November FIFA international window after receiving permission from the organization.
The design of the kit is to be made in the style of Soviet national kits of the 1950s–1970s. The idea is timed to coincide with the 100th birthday of Nikita Simonyan.
